About The Position
The Florida Department of Revenue is hiring a Tax Specialist Administrator in the General Tax Administration Program’s Receivables Management, Field Operations – Collection Process. This leadership position manages the development, improvement, and maintenance of SUNTAX training and supervises Tax Specialist IIs on the Receivables Management field training team, who serve as primary trainers for the Receivables Management Field Operations unit. The incumbent coordinates with trainers and managers to ensure field training needs are met in a timely manner and that SUNTAX (SAP) training is high quality and effective. The role also promotes a professional setting, image, and safe workplace that supports productivity, efficiency, and compliance with policies and procedures. The successful candidate may report to their current service center location. This is a statewide, internal-agency advertisement.
Requirements
- Must currently be employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
- Five years of experience utilizing SUNTAX, including researching case histories, reviewing financial transactions, and performing account maintenance.
- Five years of experience in the Receivables Management process, including knowledge of procedures, account statuses, collection case management, and operational requirements.
- Five years of experience working with pre-collection agency or collection agency exceptions, including researching, analyzing, and resolving them.
- Five years of experience analyzing, interpreting, and correcting tax account data, including identifying and resolving discrepancies involving assessments, payments, credits, and account balances.
- Five years of experience with Receivables Management pre-warrant and post-warrant processes, including warrant issuance, warrant-related account adjustments, and resolving issues affecting outstanding tax liabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Five or more years of experience utilizing transaction ZREOPEN or VF11 for sales order corrections or reworks.
Responsibilities
