Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
  • Active CPA license
  • 5+ years of public accounting tax experience
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations
  • Experience reviewing complex tax returns
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Leadership and supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement proactive tax planning strategies
  • Prepare tax projections and planning analyses
  • Research complex tax matters and provide recommendations
  • Assist clients in achieving financial and business goals

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and business owners

  • Review complex individual, business, estate, and trust tax returns
  • Oversee tax compliance processes and deadlines
  • Manage tax provision and compliance activities
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
  • Mitigate client tax risks and exposure
  • Supervise, train, and mentor tax professionals
  • Review staff work and provide timely feedback
  • Manage engagement workflow and staffing needs
  • Foster collaboration and accountability across teams
  • Support professional development initiatives
  • Improve processes and implement best practices
  • Maintain tax-related general ledger balances and adjustments
