About The Position

Tax Resolution Managers are part of the business tax team, helping individuals and businesses navigate complex tax issues while maintaining client relationships and delivering successful outcomes. The role involves representing clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities; assisting with tax notices, audits, appeals, collections, and payment arrangements; and preparing and reviewing delinquent and amended tax returns. Managers evaluate client situations and recommend appropriate resolution strategies. They build and strengthen client relationships through empathetic, technically informed service, communicate and meet with clients as requested, and provide recommendations to help resolve tax matters.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within a public accounting firm.
• Experience in tax resolution matters.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is highly desired.
• CPA certification is highly desired, or the ability to attain it.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients before the IRS and state taxing authorities.
• Assist clients with tax notices, audits, appeals, collections, and payment arrangements.
• Prepare and review delinquent and amended tax returns.

• Build new and strengthen existing client relationships, demonstrating empathy and technical expertise.
