Summer 2027 Tax Internship

About The Position

The Summer 2027 Tax Internship offers college students meaningful, hands-on experience with Lockton’s tax team. Interns collaborate on projects, interact with internal clients, conduct research, and prepare reports, presentations, and communications. In teams of two to three, interns also address a real-world challenge facing Lockton and the insurance industry, then present findings and recommendations to Lockton leadership. The program includes one-on-one mentorship from a Performance Coach, professional development workshops, sessions with senior leaders, and networking with Lockton Associates and fellow interns. Interns will learn about commercial insurance, risk management, benefits solutions, and client service; explore specialty areas and potential career paths; and participate in social and volunteer events. The internship also provides exposure to career paths in client service and account management.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in college and scheduled to graduate in December 2027 or May 2028.
Studying Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Knowledge of accounting practices and terminology.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
