About The Position

Hantz Group is a Michigan-based financial company serving individuals and businesses through a Family Office approach. The Tax Associate is an entry-level role integrated into the Family Office and works closely with CPAs, accountants, financial advisors, and other specialists. The position supports tax analysis, projections, and return preparation while collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities for clients. Hantz Group describes its tax-planning approach as proactive, monitoring clients’ tax situations throughout the year and preparing projections before final tax returns are prepared.

Requirements

• Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Highly motivated and self-starting.
• Strong leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ability to obtain an Enrolled Agent designation.
• Ability to obtain an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities
