About The Position

The Tax Clerk will temporarily perform a variety of clerical tasks to support the Tax function during increased workload, special projects, or stagging gaps, including maintaining records, gathering standard documentation, and assisting with routine tax-related processes. Works under close supervision following established procedures.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 0-2 years of related experience
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to follow defined processes and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to manage routine tasks and meet deadlines
  • Basic communication skills to support team requests
  • Willingness to learn systems and processes

Responsibilities

  • Pull invoices and standard documentation from systems to support sales tax audits
  • Organize and maintain tax-related records and files
  • Assist with compiling reports for tax filings using predefined templates
  • Retrieve documents to support refund requests and internal reviews
  • Support account reconciliations by gathering required data and documentation
  • Upload, track, and archive tax documents in designated systems
  • Assist with routine license documentation by collecting and organizing required information
  • Enter and update data in tax and financial systems accurately
  • Follow established procedures and ensure documentation is complete and consistent
  • Escalate issues or discrepancies to higher-level staff
