About The Position
CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for its Akron and Canton, Ohio locations. The role offers experience with tax preparation and assurance services, exposure to client engagements, procedures, workpapers, and systems, and opportunities to build industry knowledge through peers, clients, and formal training. Interns complete research and special projects and communicate regularly with clients and CLA family members. Requirements
- Working toward a bachelor's degree; a degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred.
- Achieve credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam under state requirements.
- General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
- Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
- Gain experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems.
- Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identifying issues and communicating progress.
- Expand industry knowledge through exposure to peers, clients, and formal training opportunities.
- Complete research and special projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with clients and CLA family members.
