Tax and Audit Intern - Winter 2027 - Central FL
About The Position
CLA is seeking Tax/Audit Interns for its Central Florida locations. The role involves preparing tax returns and performing audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services while gaining experience with procedures, workpapers, and systems. Interns support multiple client engagements, build industry knowledge through client and peer exposure and formal training, complete research and special projects, and communicate regularly with clients and CLA team members. Requirements
- Working toward a bachelor's degree; an Accounting or Finance degree is strongly preferred.
- Achieving the credit requirements to be eligible to sit for the CPA exam under applicable state requirements.
- General knowledge of accounting principles and financial data reporting.
- Willingness to learn new technologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office products.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client sites.
Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns.
- Perform audit, review, compilation, and other assurance services.
- Gain experience, exposure, and knowledge of procedures, workpapers, and systems.
- Support multiple client engagements on time and within budget, identify issues, and communicate progress.
- Expand industry knowledge through exposure to peers and clients and formal training opportunities.
- Complete research and special projects as needed.
- Communicate effectively and regularly with clients and CLA family members.
