About The Position

LedgerGurus is looking to hire a part-time Tax Accountant for our accounting team! This role is ideal for someone with strong tax experience who wants to avoid the stress of tax season and enjoys working with a variety of clients in diverse industries. The position offers a part-time, work-from-home opportunity with a very flexible schedule. The Tax Accountant will have the chance to build a team, engage in leadership, and utilize their tax background in a collaborative setting, all remotely. This role is not a traditional, intense tax season position but rather a calmer environment with significant autonomy, flexibility, and support as the income tax client base is built out. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Active Enrolled Agent credential
6+ years of tax accounting experience
Ability and confidence to communicate accurate accounting details to clients and coworkers
Ability to work 40 hours a week from January 1-May 31 every year
Requires 3-4 hours of availability during normal business hours for meetings and client communication.

Nice To Haves

An active CPA license is preferred.
Previous leadership or team lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build out the existing Income Tax service.
Complete income tax services for existing clients from January to May.
Maintain ongoing work for the team for the rest of the year.
Build out processes for the tax service.
Become an integral part of LedgerGurus services.
Use leadership and strategic thinking skills to build the tax service into an income tax powerhouse.
Analyze data for a client’s eCommerce and Inventory services.
Provide consultations.
Create financial statements.
Handle invoicing.
Manage bill payments.
Assist with budgeting.
Perform bookkeeping.
Conduct financial analysis.
