About The Position

LedgerGurus is seeking a full-time eCommerce sales tax accountant to join their remote team. Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience.
• Solid grasp on technology and ability to learn new programs easily.
• Ability and confidence to troubleshoot independently.
• Confident and strong written and verbal communication skills to correspond with other teams and clients.
• Desire to learn eCommerce sales tax accounting.
• Experience with QuickBooks or knowledge of state and federal sales tax laws and requirements.
• Must live in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Florida, Kansas, or Arizona.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Sales Tax software (i.e. Avalara, TaxJar).
• A Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare and transmit accurate and timely sales and use tax returns to jurisdictions in accordance with the client tax calendar.
• Perform state registrations and de-registrations.
• Reconcile payments made on behalf of the client.
• Proactively communicate with clients to resolve sales tax questions and concerns.
• Work with the assigned accounting manager.
• Troubleshoot problems and manipulate data.
• Analyze data for a client’s eCommerce and Inventory services.
• Create financial statements.
• Handle invoicing.
• Manage bill payments.
• Assist with budgeting.
• Perform bookkeeping.
• Conduct financial analysis.
