About The Position

LedgerGurus is looking to hire a part-time Tax Accountant for our accounting team! This part-time tax position earns a wage of $40-$48/hour. We need an experienced accountant to come in and build out our pre-existing income tax service. The schedule will require 40 hours a week from January to May, but then only 15 hours a week for the rest of the year. This is not a traditional, crazy tax season role. This will be a calmer environment with a lot of autonomy, flexibility, and support as we build out our small income tax client base. Founded in 2014, we are a remote, virtual outsourced accounting company that specializes in eCommerce accounting. Small and medium-sized businesses hire us to become their accounting department or to work with their existing finance team. eCommerce is a new realm of accounting, and we are one of the few that are blazing trails through it. We provide each client with an accounting team to perform the following: analyze data for a client’s eCommerce and Inventory services, consultations, create financial statements, invoicing, bill payments, budgeting, bookkeeping, financial analysis and more. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
Active Enrolled Agent credential
6+ years of tax accounting experience
Ability and confidence to communicate accurate accounting details to clients and coworkers
Ability to work 40 hours a week from January 1-May 31 every year

Nice To Haves

An active CPA license is preferred.
Previous leadership or team lead experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build out our existing Income Tax service.
Completing income tax services for existing clients from January to May.
Maintain ongoing work for the team, building out processes, and becoming an integral part of LedgerGurus services.
Use leadership and strategic thinking skills to build this tax service over time to become an income tax powerhouse at LedgerGurus.
