About The Position

The Task Force Maintenance Manager must be able to travel and support all hotels in the portfolio as needed. This role makes a difference by having a warm, people-oriented demeanor, a team-first attitude, and a knack for problem solving, making an immediate impact. The Task Force Maintenance Manager will travel to all hotels in the portfolio to support the maintenance effort on an interim basis, maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always, respond and attend to guests repair requests, and communicate with guest/customers to resolve maintenance issues. They will also perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and/or public spaces as required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs, and assembling bed frames. This role involves visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines, displaying above average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability, and advanced knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in various categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, energy conservation, and/or general building. The manager will perform all surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and complete thorough clean-up of painting or repair areas. They will also be responsible for inspecting and repairing grout and caulking, maintaining the pool, chemicals, and pool equipment, and testing, troubleshooting, and performing basic repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., plunge toilets, change toilet seats, unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replacing electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items. Additionally, they will program TVs, perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work. The role requires following company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and protecting company assets. Developing relationships with all departments and communicating regularly is also key.
