About The Position

The Task Force Stewarding Manager oversees daily stewarding operations in luxury hotel environments. The position requires 100% travel. Pay is $32 per hour; travel and lodging are covered, and two meals are provided daily. The manager supervises stewarding staff and operations, maintains sanitation standards, manages department resources and inventories, coordinates equipment needs for events, and trains staff on safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily stewarding operations and assign tasks to dishwashers, night cleaners, and supervisors.
• Maintain sanitation schedules for kitchens, walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
• Manage the department budget, including labor optimization, chemical utilization, and reducing equipment breakage.
• Establish and enforce standard operating procedures for dishwashing, pot-washing, and silver burnishing.
• Organize monthly and quarterly inventories of chinaware, glassware, flatware, and kitchen utensils.
• Coordinate with the Banquet department to forecast equipment needs for large-scale events and VIP functions.
• Oversee receiving and safe storage of cleaning chemicals, and track their Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Train staff in safe operation of heavy kitchen machinery, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and fire prevention.
