About The Position

As a Target Security Specialist (TSS) in Supply Chain Asset Protection, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for team members and visitors at a Target supply chain facility. You will support physical security program execution and help protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks and preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud. The role includes operating Target-owned vehicles for yard and perimeter patrols, following emergency procedures and notifying building leadership of incidents, and applying procedures for truck gate operations and visitor management. Duties may change based on business needs.

The position requires frequent internal and external patrols and a prompt, safe response to security incidents throughout the property, including stairwells, rooftops, the truck yard, mezzanines, areas near automation and technology, and trailers. The work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements, and occasional lifting and carrying of merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to multitask, respond quickly, and remain calm during crisis situations.
• Valid driver's license for the state of employment.
• Meet applicable state or local licensure and other position requirements.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, remain composed in a fast-paced environment, and independently complete multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Ability to work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing patrols and other duties.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to operate technology systems with minimal direction after training.
• Reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to be trained in and use de-escalation tactics.
• Ability to safely conduct frequent internal and external patrols throughout the shift.
• Ability to quickly and safely respond to security incidents in all areas of the property, including stairwells, rooftops, the truck yard, mezzanines, areas on or near automation and technology, and trailers.
