Tanker/Hazmat Truck Driver OTR
About The Position
Experienced CDL-A Tanker/Hazmat Drivers are needed for an Over-the-Road (OTR) position. This is a 1099 contractor role based out of Chicago, with flight and drug test paid. Drivers can expect to earn between $2,200–$2,400 weekly, with pay based on mileage at $0.80/mile for all miles (empty and loaded). Additional pay is provided for detention, layover, and extra stops. Safety bonuses and cash advances are available. The position involves operating a 48ft Reefer trailer for hazardous liquids, which is no-touch freight and live loads. Routes cover the Midwest, East Coast, and South. Trucks are new models (2024–2026) from Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner, or Peterbilt, equipped with a fridge, microwave, and inverter. Drivers will be on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time, with 2-3 days off, and have the option to take the truck home. Pay is processed weekly via direct deposit every Friday.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- Valid medical card
- Minimum 2 years verifiable CDL-A experience
- X Endorsement (Hazmat)
Responsibilities
