Tanker/Hazmat Truck Driver OTR
About The Position
Experienced CDL-A Tanker/Hazmat Drivers Needed – Earn $2,200–$2,400. This is a 1099 contractor position based in Chicago, with flight and drug test paid. Drivers can expect to earn $0.80/mile for all miles paid (empty & loaded), with weekly earnings ranging from $2,200–$2,400 based on mileage. Additional pay is available for detention, layover, and extra stops. Safety bonuses and cash advances are also offered. The pay schedule runs Monday to Monday, with paychecks issued every Friday via direct deposit. Drivers will operate a 48ft Reefer trailer hauling hazardous liquids with no-touch freight and live loads. Routes cover the Midwest, East Coast, and South. Trucks are new models (2024–2026) from Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner, or Peterbilt, equipped with a fridge, microwave, and inverter. Home time is 2-3 weeks on the road, followed by 2-3 days off, with the option to take the truck home. Hiring is open to all over the U.S. with a quick onboarding process, allowing drivers to start as soon as the next day.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A
- Valid medical card
- Minimum 2 years verifiable CDL-A experience
- X Endorsement (Hazmat)
Responsibilities
- Operate a 48ft Reefer trailer hauling hazardous liquids.
- Drive routes covering the Midwest, East Coast, and South.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
- Manage delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer.
