Tanker/Hazmat Truck Driver - OTR
About The Position
Experienced CDL-A Tanker/Hazmat Drivers are needed for an Over-the-Road (OTR) position. This is a 1099 contractor role based out of Chicago, with flight and drug test paid. Drivers will operate 2024-2026 Volvo, Kenworth, Freightliner, or Peterbilt trucks equipped with a fridge, microwave, and inverter. The freight is no-touch, live loads, and consists of hazardous liquids in a 48ft Reefer trailer. Routes cover the Midwest, East Coast, and South. Drivers can expect to be on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time, with 2-3 days off, and have the option to take the truck home. The pay schedule runs Monday to Monday, with paychecks issued every Friday via direct deposit.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A.
- Valid medical card.
- Minimum 2 years verifiable CDL-A experience.
- X Endorsement (Hazmat).
Responsibilities
- Operate a CDL-A tanker/hazmat truck.
- Transport hazardous liquids (no-touch freight, live loads) in a 48ft Reefer trailer.
- Drive routes across the Midwest, East Coast, and South.
- Adhere to safety regulations and maintain a clean driving record.
- Manage detention, layover, and extra stop requirements.
- Utilize provided truck amenities (fridge, microwave, inverter).
