About The Position

The Tank Finishing Supervisor leads team members through tank and pressure-vessel testing, cleaning, and finishing. The role prioritizes workload and coordinates with the Operations Manager to meet production schedules, while working with the QC Manager to prepare tanks for pressure testing and final inspection. The supervisor ensures tanks meet specified appearance, condition, and cleanliness requirements by following blueprints and Bills of Materials. The role also oversees outgoing shipments and develops or implements equipment and process improvements to support safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

Previous tank or vessel testing, cleaning, and finishing experience is required.
Familiarity with equipment, chemicals, procedures, and practices used to clean and passivate stainless steel.
Ability to lead team members in testing, cleaning, and finishing tanks or pressure vessels while meeting quality and efficiency expectations.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to handle the physical workload, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Positive attitude and ability to motivate and lead team members.
Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Prioritize workload and lead team members in tank and pressure-vessel testing, cleaning, and finishing.
Report directly to the Operations Manager and ensure production schedule timelines are met.
Work with the QC Manager to prepare tanks for pressure testing and final inspection.
Follow blueprints and Bills of Materials to ensure tanks meet requirements for appearance, condition, and cleanliness.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Oversee outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition.
Research, develop, and implement process-improvement equipment and techniques to improve department safety, quality, and efficiency.
