Shoreside Tank Barge PIC (MMC Required)
About The Position
PSC Group is seeking a licensed Tank Barge Person in Charge (PIC) for a shoreside role supporting the petroleum and chemical shipping industry. The position requires a U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC) with a Tank Barge PIC (DL) endorsement. The schedule is six days on, with 24-hour variable on-call availability, followed by three days off. Regular on-site attendance and punctuality are required. Employees must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any required medical examinations. Requirements
- Hold a current U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC) with Tank Barge PIC (DL) endorsement.
- Have a current TWIC card and valid driver's license, as well as reliable transportation and a telephone.
- Be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in the United States.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams.
- Speak, write, and read fluent English.
- Maintain regular on-site attendance and punctuality.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as a Tank Barge PIC is preferred.
- Previous military experience and a proven ability to follow procedures are a plus.
