About The Position

This role drives projects that optimize and operationalize Career Hub’s Talent Intelligence system capabilities, such as skills architecture, internal mobility, succession planning, and workforce insights. Partnering across HR and business teams, this role will help shape governance, activation strategies, and enterprise approaches aligned to Symetra’s talent philosophy and future workforce needs. You will own the roadmap, governance, system training and delivery of talent insights that enable data-driven decisions, workforce planning, and internal career growth programs. Success in this role means building scalable, sustainable systems that drive adoption and business impact across the organization.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in talent development, organizational effectiveness, or related fields.
  • Experience with Eightfold, ATS Systems, LMS and/or workforce planning tools
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse collaborators.
  • Skilled in project management, prioritization, and navigating complex initiatives across functions.
  • Understand how talent enables business growth and have strong business sense.
  • Adaptable, curious, and open to experimenting with innovative approaches.
  • Use data to drive decisions and continuously improve talent solutions.
  • High school diploma required
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their employment with our company.

  • Certifications in ATD, project management, change management, coaching, or leadership development are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Career Hub / Talent Management product vision and roadmap
  • Translate business and workforce priorities into clear initiatives and outcomes
  • Drive prioritization, governance, and cross-functional alignment
  • Monitor adoption, performance, and impact to continuously improve
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of talent initiatives (discovery → implementation → adoption)
  • Partner with HR Systems and IT on execution, testing, and readiness
  • Develop training and enablement materials (e.g., eLearning, job aids)
  • Manage timelines, risks, and cross-functional workstreams
  • Establish governance for skills data, taxonomy, and data quality
  • Partner with Talent and Workforce Planning to maintain relevant skills frameworks
  • Ensure tools and processes support skills-based talent decisions
  • Align skills data to learning, mobility, and succession strategies
  • Serve as a key partner to HR, leaders, and stakeholders
  • Deliver training and guidance to support adoption and behavior change
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions across teams
  • Translate talent insights into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Define and track metrics (e.g., mobility, succession readiness, adoption)
  • Partner to build dashboards and reporting
  • Use insights to improve programs and prioritize enhancements
  • Measure and communicate impact
