About The Position

Krafton Montreal is developing Project Windless, a AAA action-adventure game based on a popular Korean fantasy novel series. The studio, led by industry veterans, emphasizes transparency, engagement, pragmatism, and collaboration. Backed by Krafton, a major global game publisher, the studio balances international strength with the agility of a growing entity. They are seeking an experienced Talent & Culture Manager to shape the studio's culture, support employees, and contribute to its growth. The Montreal studio is nearing 100 developers, offering a unique opportunity for individuals to influence the studio's evolution and success. The team is composed of experienced AAA game developers who are passionate, take ownership, and are driven by a shared ambition for excellence. Requirements

  • 8 or more years of progressive HR experience, ideally leading the HR function within a studio or growing organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • Highly self-motivated, thrives on ownership, and enjoys turning ideas into action with minimal direction.
  • Pragmatic, organized, and comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Genuinely cares about people and takes pride in helping both employees and the studio succeed.
  • Communicates confidently in both French and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the video game industry is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with the pace, culture, and realities of game development will help you succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Talent & Culture function for the Montreal studio.
  • Own the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through development and offboarding.
  • Lead full cycle recruitment, partnering with hiring managers to attract, assess, and hire talent.
  • Support managers on performance management, employee relations, coaching, conflict resolution, and career development.
  • Manage payroll, employee benefits administration, compensation reviews, HR systems, and daily HR operations.
  • Ensure compliance with Quebec and Canadian employment legislation and company policies.
  • Partner with headquarters in South Korea to implement global Talent & Culture initiatives, adapting them to local needs.
  • Continuously improve HR practices, employee experience, and the ability to support a high-performing studio culture.
