About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a proactive and autonomous BIM Manager to join its BIM - Mechanical and Electrical team in Canada. This role involves supervising BIM data coordination, ensuring quality and compliance with standards, and optimizing processes for multidisciplinary engineering projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably in infrastructure, rail, or transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience on large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
  • Proficiency in BIM tools, including Revit, Navisworks, etc.
  • Knowledge of collaborative BIM platforms such as Autodesk Forma, Revizto, or equivalents.
  • Good understanding of BIM standards and protocols (ISO 19650, etc.).
  • Experience in clash detection, coordination, and model auditing.
  • Good understanding of design and construction processes in building mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Basic programming or scripting skills (Dynamo, Python) are an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative while collaborating within a team.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in French and English is mandatory (written and spoken).
  • This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as you will be a member of a Canadian, global, or regional management team.

Responsibilities

  • Representing the firm as the M&E discipline BIM Manager with our clients and business partners.
  • Developing coordination strategies with our business partners and establishing data governance.
  • Developing and maintaining project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
  • Performing quality control and model audits to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Providing training, support, and guidance to project teams regarding BIM standards, tools, and processes.
  • Staying up-to-date on industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies to continuously improve BIM practices.
  • Assisting teams in preparing service proposals that include a BIM process component, developing text, and evaluating efforts.
