About The Position

The Talent Acquisition Volunteer Intern will support the recruitment team in executing day-to-day hiring activities, with a focus on entry-level and campus recruitment efforts. This unpaid internship provides hands-on exposure to the recruitment lifecycle, including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and employer branding. The intern will also assist with campus recruitment activities and provide administrative support across recruitment and HR functions. About Little Flower Little Flower Children and Family Services of New York is a human services nonprofit supporting the well-being of children, youth, families, and individuals across New York City and Long Island since 1929. Our staff of more than 500 builds well-being by providing prevention services, foster care, residential treatment care, adoption services, programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities, and medical and mental health services.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate or currently enrolled in college
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Professional and reliable, with attention to detail
  • Interest in recruitment and HR processes

Responsibilities

  • Post and promote open positions on job boards and external platforms (e.g., Handshake, college job boards, DOL, COFFCA, and other niche sites)
  • Coordinate interview scheduling between candidates and hiring managers
  • Support and attend job fairs, campus events, and recruitment initiatives alongside the Talent Acquisition team
  • Assist with routine campus recruitment activities, including tracking event calendars and preparing materials for info sessions and career fairs
  • Help manage and update candidate statuses within ADP to ensure accurate and timely tracking
  • Review resumes and identify qualified candidates for entry-level roles (e.g., Youth Development Counselor)
  • Assist with candidate outreach for campus pipelines and early-career roles
  • Support employment verification processes as needed
  • Assist with filing, document uploads, and maintaining organized candidate records both in-person and within ADP
  • Provide administrative support to HR functions as needed
