Currently involved in some of Canada’s largest infrastructure projects, ACCIONA delivers solutions that contribute to the economic and social progress of the communities in which it operates. www.acciona.ca We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support recruitment efforts, working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver full-cycle recruitment and build strong, proactive talent pipelines aligned with project needs. This is an on-site position based in the GTA, working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role also plays a key part in representing ACCIONA and ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate and employee experience that reflects our values and culture.

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, ideally within construction, engineering, or infrastructure environments.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple levels, from entry-level to senior leadership roles.
  • Strong experience with sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, etc.) and HRIS platforms such as Workday.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coordinating onboarding, pre-employment checks, and recruitment administration.
  • Solid understanding of employment legislation and recruitment best practices in Canada (and/or North America).

Responsibilities

  • Lead high-volume, full-cycle recruitment across North America for both technical (engineering, construction, infrastructure) and corporate roles.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, hiring strategies, and timelines aligned with project and business needs.
  • Conduct screening calls, interviews, and candidate assessments using structured and competency-based methodologies.
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including interview coordination, reference checks, background verification, and offer preparation.
  • Utilize Workday HRIS system to manage requisitions, track candidate pipelines, and maintain accurate recruitment data.
  • Develop and execute targeted sourcing strategies tailored to regional markets and specialized talent segments.
  • Leverage tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, networking platforms, and industry associations to identify and engage top talent.
  • Build and maintain proactive talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives by identifying future hiring needs and market trends.
  • Act as a key ambassador of ACCIONA’s employer brand, promoting the organization’s values, culture, and sustainability leadership in all candidate interactions.
  • Represent ACCIONA at career fairs, university events, industry conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and attract talent.
  • Partner with HR and marketing teams to support employer branding initiatives, recruitment campaigns, and social media engagement (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Deliver a best-in-class candidate experience, ensuring professionalism, transparency, and alignment with ACCIONA’s reputation at every touchpoint.
  • Build and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and early talent programs to strengthen long-term talent pipelines.
  • Contribute to storytelling and content (e.g., job postings, outreach messaging, recruitment materials) that reflect ACCIONA’s mission and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across projects and corporate teams to ensure alignment on hiring priorities.
  • Provide guidance to hiring managers on market conditions, talent availability, and recruitment best practices.
  • Support cross-functional HR initiatives including onboarding, training coordination, and employee engagement activities.
  • Ensure recruitment processes comply with employment legislation, company policies, and data privacy standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Support onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires into the organization.
