About The Position

CareRx is seeking a Contract Talent Acquisition Specialist to support hiring efforts primarily in Ontario, with occasional assistance for Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. This role is expected to last until July 2027. Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, the Specialist will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, from initial intake to final hire, ensuring a positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in corporate recruitment in a high volume hiring setting.
  • Experience utilizing various job boards and social media platforms.
  • Experience utilizing a talent acquisition system is required.
  • Resilience with the ability to navigate talent channels to source and build strong talent pools in the local market within Pharmacy.
  • Have a brand marketing mindset to set yourself above others in the market.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands and shifting priorities in a large, fast-paced, and changing environment.
  • Proven track record of leveraging social media as a strategic recruitment tool.
  • Strong communication, influencing, innovation, project management, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a positive contributor to the team.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of ownership and confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage time well while encouraging movement on hiring with various stakeholders.
  • Must be able to work in a collaborative environment across multiple verticals.
  • Must successfully pass satisfactory background screening (Criminal Record Check, Credit Check, Driver’s Abstract, Education Verification, Current Professional Registration) and referencing after an offer of employment has been extended and accepted.

Nice To Haves

  • Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Working with Dayforce recruitment module is an asset.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to understand the business and provide solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle recruitment process including intake meetings, job postings, sourcing, video interviewing, interview scheduling, extending offers of employment, and processing background checks.
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources to identify and engage top talent.
  • Maintain high-touch and proactive communication with candidates, hiring managers, and the human resources team throughout the talent acquisition cycle, aiming for a highly positive experience for all involved.
  • Perform sourcing activities for open positions by creating strategies through a broad range of channels including direct recruitment, employee referrals, professional associations, campus partnerships, career fairs, and social media platforms.
  • Investigate creative sourcing opportunities and implement new sourcing strategies.
  • Develop and lead the college and university recruitment strategy, including co-ops, summer interns, and on-campus events.
