About The Position

As a member of the Human Resources (HR) Talent Acquisition team, you will lead Benefits Eligible (BE) recruitment efforts for University Housing and Dining (UHD). You will serve as a primary liaison for applicants, the university community, and hiring managers. Utilize innovative strategies to develop and implement effective recruitment initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in Human Resources Administration or related field.
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

  • Three or more years of experience in human resources administration.

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and screening applications for various UHD positions in HRIS system.
  • Attending intake calls, creating a matrix, recommending candidates for phone screen and interviews, scheduling interviews, reviewing and approving interview scores/feedback, and dispositioning candidates.
  • Coordinating pre-offer steps, including conducting reference checks and verification of employment to ensure UT compliance.
  • Reviewing and drafting offer letters.
  • Overseeing and coordinating pre-onboarding process for benefit eligible hires.
  • Advising managers and supervisors on HR processes and requirements for employment related matters.
  • Coordinating/Liaison with other campus departments.
  • Creating assignments and new hires via HRIS system.
  • Monitoring requisitions and assisting in increasing applicant flow by sourcing candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline.
  • Assisting with marketing and advertisement of open positions.
  • Identifying and sourcing top talent utilizing various job boards.
  • Assisting applicants and new hires with completing and submitting required paperwork.
  • Proactively leading recruitment efforts to grow positive brand awareness in the communities we serve.
  • Attending career fairs and hiring events.
  • Developing and providing regular recruiting activity reports.
  • Handling sensitive and secure documents appropriately.
  • Ensuring proper documentation is maintained in accordance with UT record retention policies.
  • Handling confidential, routine, and non-routine information.
  • Managing collection of recurring employment documents and files.
  • Partnering with Senior HR Coordinator on recruitment updates, communication, hiring manager updates, and candidate flow data.
  • Retrieving information from files when needed.
  • Providing top quality service at all times to internal and external customers.
  • Partnering with the Senior HR Coordinator and hiring managers to deliver a high-quality candidate experience.
  • Ensuring consistent and positive representation of UHD on external communication.
  • Using initiative to resolve concerns independently and in a tactful manner.
  • Providing support to HR teammates and HR leadership.
  • Acting as TA Point Person when needed to monitor walk-ins with HR Support Services team.
  • Creating and implementing efficiencies that have a positive impact on customer service.
  • Providing administrative support functions for the HR office.
  • Maintaining monthly task lists, trackers, metrics, and deadlines.
  • Utilizing internal software and processes to complete tasks and communicate with coworkers.
  • Completing special projects, including disseminating information.
  • Working independently and as a team on nonrecurring and ongoing projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
