The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the full-cycle recruiting process, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring and onboarding experience. This role requires a self-starter capable of working independently, managing multiple priorities, and driving results in a fast-paced setting. The position collaborates with hiring teams, supports HR processes, and administers workers’ compensation activities. This role is based in Sanford, Florida, and reports to the Staffing Manager. The Specialist will support both local and offsite recruiting, staffing operations, and broader Human Resources Generalist functions. Consistent onsite presence is required, working Monday through Friday, with the ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities and delivering timely results.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1–2+ years of HR, recruiting, or staffing experience
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Nice To Haves

  • bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with HR systems such as ADP, E-Verify, or similar preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage recruiting coordination including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and hiring process tracking
  • Serve as primary point of contact for candidates and ensure a positive experience
  • Lead onboarding activities including orientations, I-9 and E-Verify processing, and HR system entry (ADP)
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Generate and track recruiting metrics including headcount, turnover, and hiring progress
  • Coordinate drug screens, background checks, and pre-employment requirements
  • Manage workers’ compensation cases including scheduling appointments, tracking follow-ups, and maintaining documentation
  • Support HR systems, timekeeping, and employee inquiries with minimal supervision
  • Assist with HR programs, events, and training systems as needed
