Talent Acquisition Specialist

Concordia University, St. Paul•Saint Paul, MN

About The Position

This position provides administrative support and coordination for full-time staffing, part-time Contracted Faculty of Practice (CFP) contracts, and Human Resources priorities. It is an internal staffing role focused on ensuring the university’s academic schedule is fully staffed each semester, rather than a general recruitment position. The specialist coordinates CFP contracting and hiring, tracks full-time faculty workload, posts staffing opportunities, prescreens applicants, partners with hiring managers, and supports onboarding and HRIS entry for new CFPs. The role also supports staffing operations for university programs and dissertation hires and collaborates with the Registrar’s Office to staff Independent Studies. The position partners with academic units, Human Resources, university leaders, faculty, and other stakeholders to coordinate workload and course scheduling, track faculty qualifications, process contracts, and support hiring. It provides timely, professional administrative support; reviews processes for operational efficiency; and develops and maintains procedures and systems that support daily HR operations. Concordia University, Saint Paul (CSP) is an institution of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. Its mission is to prepare students for thoughtful and informed living, dedicated service to God and humanity, and enlightened care of God’s creation within the context of the Christian gospel. CSP describes its campus as a 41-acre campus just west of downtown St. Paul, with access to light-rail and bus transportation. The university states that it provides equal opportunity and does not discriminate or harass employees or applicants on protected grounds, while reserving the right, to the extent allowed by law, to give employment preference based on religious tenets.
