About The Position

This role plays a critical part in ensuring a seamless and efficient recruitment process through the coordination of hiring activities, management of candidate pipelines, oversight of job postings, and support of social media recruitment initiatives. The Talent Acquisition Specialist is instrumental in attracting top talent, enhancing the candidate experience, and supporting the organization’s broader recruitment strategy. Working collaboratively under the mentorship of the Talent Acquisition Partner, this role helps execute hiring priorities for the team while reporting to the Manager of People.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in high-volume recruitment is required.
  • Certificate and/or diploma in human resources, business, or related education is required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare recruitment is preferred.
  • Experience working with applicant tracking systems, experience with UKG or Avature is an asset.
  • Experience in social media management or content creation is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end recruitment process across multiple roles, based on hiring priorities.
  • Conduct and coordinate interviews, including scheduling and candidate communication.
  • Conduct initial candidate screenings to assess basic qualifications and alignment.
  • Provide ongoing support to the team and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience at all stages.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Build strong working relationships with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and support recruitment planning.
  • Support sourcing efforts through LinkedIn, job boards, and other recruitment channels as needed.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines aligned with current and future hiring needs.
  • Conduct outreach to passive candidates and support ongoing recruitment campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, candidate experience, and sourcing strategies.
  • Manage and maintain AMS’s presence on social media platforms.
  • Create and post content to promote open roles and support recruitment campaigns.
  • Support employer branding initiatives aligned with hiring priorities and overall recruitment strategy.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure consistent and engaging messaging.
  • Prepare candidate summaries and support the team with hiring decisions.
  • Track recruitment activity and provide updates on hiring progress.
  • Support offer letter preparation, reference checks, credential verification, and pre-employment requirements as assigned.
  • Ensure recruitment practices align with company policies, employment standards, privacy requirements, and equitable hiring practices.
  • Support onboarding activities, including coordination of new hire documentation and communication.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee by supporting onboarding logistics.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure new hires have a positive onboarding experience.
  • Provide on-site support for recruitment and onboarding initiatives as needed.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, candidate pipeline activity, and sourcing effectiveness.
  • Support reporting to improve recruitment processes and hiring outcomes.
