HOH Water TechnologyPalatine, IL
$65,000 - $80,000Hybrid

About The Position

HOH Water Technology is a leading, growing, third-generation family-owned water treatment company proudly celebrating 58 years in business. Our success is built on a commitment to excellence, innovation, and exceptional service to our customers. At HOH, we believe our people are the foundation of that success, and we look for individuals who align with our core values of Accountability, Creativity, Teamwork, and Service. We are passionate about Investing, Rewarding, and Giving Back, for a lasting impact on our clients, coworkers, and community. We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who is passionate about people, driven by purpose, and excited to build something meaningful. This is not a transactional recruiting role, it is a strategic seat on our People & Culture team. You will own the full recruiting lifecycle, serve as the first ambassador of the HOH employee experience, and play a direct role in our commitment to ensuring 100% of our employees are Thriving. If you love connecting great people to great opportunities and believe culture is built one hire at a time, this role is for you. This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must reside within approximately 1 to 1.5 hours of the Chicagoland area to support occasional in-person office needs, team collaboration, and company events as needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably in a multi-department or multi-location environment
  • Experience with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or similar)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you connect easily with people at all levels and represent the organization with professionalism and warmth
  • High ownership mentality — you follow through, manage competing priorities, and hold yourself accountable to results, not just activity
  • Genuine passion for people and culture — you understand that every hire shapes the team and takes that responsibility seriously
  • Knowledge of employment law basics and equitable hiring practices
  • Comfortable using data to measure and improve recruiting effectiveness

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a growing, multi-location, or family-owned business is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own the Full Recruiting Lifecycle: From sourcing to signed offer, you own the process end-to-end. You manage all open requisitions, build proactive talent pipelines so HOH is never starting from zero, and partner closely with hiring managers to define what great looks like before recruiting begins. You coordinate every stage of the interview process and manage offers in partnership with the HR Director.
  • Be HOH’s First Culture Ambassador: Every candidate interaction is a reflection of who HOH is. You assess for values alignment alongside qualifications, communicate our thriving culture authentically, and ensure every candidate — hired or not — walks away with a positive impression. You partner with our Culture & Engagement Specialist to make sure culture fit is never an afterthought.
  • Bridge Recruiting to Onboarding: The moment an offer is accepted, the thriving journey begins. You execute a warm, detailed handoff to our onboarding team — sharing candidate context, personality notes, and ensuring all pre-hire steps are completed with care. Your handoff sets the tone for Day 1 and beyond.
  • Build and Champion HOH’s Employer Brand: You actively represent HOH across job boards, LinkedIn, and community networks. You manage and improve our recruiting tools and ATS, track key metrics like time-to-fill and quality of hire, and stay current on compensation benchmarks and labor market trends to keep HOH competitive and attractive as an employer.
  • Partner with Leaders and Protect Process Integrity: You are a trusted partner to hiring managers — setting expectations, coaching them on inclusive interviewing practices, and holding the process accountable to timelines. You determine when and how assessments should be used, maintain thorough documentation, and surface data-driven insights that help HOH hire smarter over time.
