About The Position

The Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for recruiting, on-boarding, and improving the retention of employees. This role involves maintaining and developing all processes surrounding the employee on-boarding experience and will work to improve enjoyment and desire to work at Fidelity Manufacturing. In relation to retention, this position will support the drive of company culture, develop and coordinate all employee events, and develop a good-will program.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Must have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within human resources.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • A proven ability to coordinate multiple priority projects involving different functional areas of the human resources functions and other line and staff departments in the corporation.
  • Must be goal oriented and result-driven.
  • High degree of awareness of surroundings, risk, and hazards.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • Build applicant sources by researching, monitoring and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media, and internet sites; providing organization information, opportunities, and benefits; making presentations; maintaining rapport.
  • Attend weekly staff meetings to update managers on current staffing levels and update needs based on their requirements.
  • Updates job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviewing applicants based on consistent qualifications.
  • Promote employee listings by contacting recruiters, using newsgroups, job sites, billboards, and other sources of advertisement. Use creativity and variety to maximize ROI of recruiting resources.
  • Seek to achieve diversity in applicants through observation, analysis and advertisement type and location.
  • Oversee, monitor and expedite each accepted applicant from start to finish of the hiring process: Scheduling interviews and screenings, reviewing offer letters, and setting Orientation class schedules.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by performing initial interviews; analyzing qualifications; verifying references.
  • Works with department managers to evaluate and maintain dept employee needs.
  • Builds and maintains applicant sources by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions needed.
  • Initiate, plan, schedule and conduct in-house hiring events and register for and attend external job fairs.
  • Tracks, documents and reports of employee referrals and hiring details.
