About The Position
Ziegenfelder Company is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full‑cycle recruiting for both production and corporate roles at their Wheeling, WV manufacturing facility. This is an onsite, plant‑based role where you’ll partner closely with hiring managers and leaders to build strong, reliable talent pipelines that keep production moving. This role offers full ownership of requisitions from intake through offer and onboarding, is high‑impact and visible, supporting manufacturing and production teams. You will have direct partnership with plant leadership and operations managers, with the opportunity to influence hiring strategy, sourcing approach, and process improvement. It is a hands‑on recruiting environment with strong ties to the local community and workforce, and exposure to high‑volume hourly recruiting with long‑term hiring needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience
- Prior experience recruiting in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or high‑volume recruiting environment
- Proven success direct sourcing candidates, including passive talent
- Strong partnership skills with hiring managers and operations leaders
- Comfortable working onsite in a fast‑paced production environment
- Excellent interviewing, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and recruiting tools
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting manufacturing or food/CPG production roles
- Multi‑plant or multi‑shift recruiting experience
- Hands‑on experience using Workday or similar ATS/HCM systems
- Prior responsibility for high‑volume or ramp‑up hiring
- Experience recruiting for skilled trades or hard‑to‑fill production roles
- Community outreach, workforce development, or job fair experience
Responsibilities
- Manage the full life cycle recruiting process for a wide range of manufacturing and support roles, including hourly production, maintenance, technical, and salaried positions.
- Own end‑to‑end recruiting for hourly and non‑hourly manufacturing roles in a non‑union environment.
- Partner with hiring managers and plant leadership to understand workforce needs, job requirements, and hiring priorities.
- Develop and execute direct sourcing strategies using Indeed, LinkedIn, social media, referrals, and community outreach.
- Build and maintain talent pipelines to support high‑volume and ongoing production hiring needs.
- Conduct candidate screening, interviews, and assessments focused on skills, fit, shift requirements, and compensation alignment.
- Guide hiring managers through interview best practices, selection decisions, and offer processes.
- Represent Ziegenfelder at job fairs, community events, school partnerships, and hiring events.
- Promote Ziegenfelder as an employer of choice by communicating the total rewards package, career growth opportunities, and company culture.
- Track recruiting activity, hiring metrics, and candidate pipelines using the ATS.
- Continuously look for ways to improve recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, and time‑to‑fill.
