About The Position

K&L Wine Merchants is entering a critical phase of growth and operational scaling across the organization, where building high-performing teams is essential to long-term success. We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Partner who will operate as both a strategic partner and hands-on execution leader, responsible for driving hiring outcomes aligned to business priorities. In this role you will bring structure, consistency and discipline to the hiring process while partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization to meet their hiring goals. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will play a key role in building a best-in-class recruiting function, shaping how the organization attracts, evaluates and hires salaried and hourly talent across corporate, retail and fulfillment environments. This role is ideal for a recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment, is comfortable managing diverse requisitions across levels and is motivated by the opportunity to build and scale recruiting within a growing, operationally complex business. This is a high-impact opportunity to establish foundational recruiting processes, elevate hiring manager capability and directly influence how K&L scales its workforce. You will be the company's first internal recruiting partner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience in fast paced experience
  • Experience hiring across both corporate salaried roles and hourly associate level roles
  • Strong sourcing capabilities (LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, Proactive outreach etc)
  • Experience in CA and NY markets
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organization and follow-through
  • Proven experience building a
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms (Paylocity, BambooHR, JobScore or similar)
  • Technical & Operational Excellence - Strong understanding of talent markets, ongoing talent trends and be a result driven
  • Project Management & Organization - Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving - Ability to diagnose issues and implement solutions quickly

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting across corporate, retail and fulfillment roles
  • Manage multiple concurrent searches with urgency and prioritization
  • Deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience
  • Partner with leaders to translate business needs into hiring plans
  • Align recruiting activity with approved headcount and staffing priorities
  • Provide market insight on talent availability, competitiveness, and timelines
  • Build and maintain structured hiring processes (interview stages, panels, scorecards)
  • Drive consistency, speed and quality of hiring decisions
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and outcomes
  • Proactively source candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, outreach, and job boards
  • Build and maintain pipelines for recurring and critical roles
  • Leverage modern sourcing tools, including AI-enabled solutions
  • Align with managers on role scope, candidate profiles, and success criteria
  • Coach interviewers on effective evaluation and decision-making
  • Reinforce accountability to hiring standards and process discipline
  • Lead high-volume hiring for store and warehouse operations
  • Respond to dynamic workforce needs driven by turnover and business changes
  • Support seasonal hiring to ensure operational readiness during peak periods
  • Own recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline health, conversion rates)
  • Maintain ATS integrity (Paylocity) and ensure accurate reporting
  • Provide regular hiring updates and actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Ensure recruiting compliance with federal, state and city regulations across multiple jurisdictions
