About The Position

Care Initiatives is seeking a Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist to join their Talent Acquisition team. This role is crucial for ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new employees during their onboarding journey. The specialist will support all aspects of the pre-employment process, including managing new-hire paperwork, conducting reference checks, verifying licenses and certifications, and scheduling first-day orientation. Working closely with the Talent Acquisition team, this position aims to create an exceptional candidate experience throughout the onboarding process. This is a hybrid role based out of the corporate home office in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to communicate successfully and empathetically in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Proficient with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 2+ years of HR and/or Recruiting experience in the healthcare industry required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources or related field

Responsibilities

  • Processing new-hire paperwork, including reference checks, background checks, license and certification verifications, TB test results, initiating I-9s, and other documents based on position requirements.
  • Coordinating and scheduling new employee orientation and ensuring employees have all necessary information to start successfully.
  • Providing detailed progress updates with extreme accuracy in HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Efficiently converting applicants to hires by removing barriers in the hiring process.
  • Conducting and maintaining accountability of required pre-employment documentation with candidates to ensure all paperwork is collected in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with recruiting and interviewing on an as-needed basis.
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with talent acquisition partners, hiring managers, and all levels of management.
