About The Position

Care Initiatives is seeking a Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition team! The Talent Acquisition Onboarding Specialist plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new employees as they join our organization. This position supports all aspects of the pre-employment process, including following up on new-hire paperwork, completing reference checks, verifying licenses and certifications, and scheduling first-day orientation. While working closely with the Talent Acquisition team, the Onboarding Specialist will help to create an exceptional candidate experience throughout the onboarding journey. This is a hybrid role based out of our corporate home office in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to communicate successfully and empathetically in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to handle sensitive/confidential information
  • Proficient with ATS/HRIS systems and Microsoft Office
  • Minimum 2+ years of HR and/or Recruiting experience in the healthcare industry required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in human resources or related field

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for processing new-hire paperwork, including but not limited to reference checks, background checks, license and certification verifications, TB test results, initiating I-9s, and other documents based on position requirements.
  • Coordinates and schedules new employee orientation and ensure employee has all information needed to start successfully.
  • Provide detailed progress updates with extreme accuracy in HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Efficiently convert applicants to hire removing barriers in the hiring process.
  • Conducts and maintains accountability of required pre-employment documentation with candidates to ensure all paperwork is collected in a timely manner.
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing on an as needed basis.
  • Develops and maintains strong working relationships with talent acquisition partners and hiring managers and all levels of management.
