About The Position

Serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers and the broader community, educating stakeholders on recruitment best practices, legal interviewing techniques, and effective use of the applicant tracking system (ATS). Develop and execute strategies that strengthen community outreach, build broad talent pipelines, and facilitate the sharing of top talent across the organization. Key responsibilities include designing and facilitating training on hiring best practices, developing scalable pipelines for key roles, and building the processes and infrastructure to enhance MIT’s Talent Acquisition strategy and capacity. Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers on recruiting strategies, processes, and policies. Develop hiring manager toolkits, interview guides, and job aids that codify MIT’s talent acquisition best practices and legal recruiting requirements. Design and execute sourcing strategies and advertising campaigns. Build pipelines for key roles. Leverage a wide range of sourcing channels (e.g., networking, referrals, external partnerships) and strategies to build broad pools of applicants. Facilitate in-person and virtual workshops on hiring best practices, legal interviewing techniques, and effective use of recruiting tools. Develop self-paced online learning modules and recorded training content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, education, or related field
  • A minimum of five years in talent acquisition, HR, training, or related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing recruiting strategies, talent pipelines, or hiring processes
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment law, and legally compliant hiring practices
  • Expertise in designing and delivering training (in-person, virtual, and hybrid)
  • Experience consulting with hiring managers on recruiting strategies
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and customer focus
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new HR technologies and systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in higher education or research-focused environments
  • Experience in Oracle or enterprise HR systems
  • PHR certification
  • Experience in Instructional Design and/or authoring tools
