Requirements

• Knowledge of DMV software and CDK.

• Clean motor vehicle record and criminal background record.

• Automotive dealership title clerk experience.

Responsibilities

• Process vehicles for registration in the state where they will be titled.
• Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder has been paid off before processing title applications.
• Check applications for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins.
• Pull reports from the TRAC system.
• Process rejections.
• Verify costs for the accounting department, including reconditioning and equipment add-ons.
• Handle the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles.
