About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Officer in Carmel, Indiana. The role requires strong observation skills to assess the environment, anticipate risks, and respond appropriately. Officers patrol environments such as retail stores, airports, and detention centers, and must be physically able to move throughout the shift. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., at $25 per hour. A uniform is provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Meet at least one of the listed qualifying background pathways: military service in a law-enforcement- or security-related occupational specialty, elite military forces, combat arms, or a support role in a combat zone; graduation from a certified military or civilian public safety academy in law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighting; a bachelor's degree in law enforcement or criminal justice-related studies; at least four years of active service in any military branch; or an associate degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice combined with current or prior active military service.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
