About The Position

The Table Operator ensures production tables are in good condition before curd is pumped into them and verifies that cheese meets specifications and reaches the required pH level before whey is drained and water is added. This is a PM-shift position with rotating days off. The role supports production operations, sanitation, food safety, quality, and workplace safety, and requires accurate, timely documentation. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math experience.
• Must participate in the safety observation program.
• Must follow safety, GMP, and HACCP programs.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals and moving equipment.
• Ability to maintain the work area to 5S standards.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor curd pH and ingredients.
• Add salt to tables.
• Complete production logs accurately and submit documentation promptly.
• Perform CIP on tables as needed.
• Relieve the cooker/molder operator as needed.
• Assist the cooker/molder operator with changing RMC molds.
• Submit samples for laboratory testing.
• Assist CIP crews with tear-downs of the curd tables.
• Clean the curd augers.
• Keep the work area clean and maintain 5S standards.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with applicable health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA good manufacturing practices and corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
• Follow DFA Quality, Safety, and GMP policies and procedures, and report nonconformities.
• Attend required training, including Safety, GMP, HACCP, and SQF training.
• Monitor critical control points under the plant HACCP plan and take corrective action when necessary.
• Participate in the safety observation program.
• Work safely around chemicals and moving equipment.
