About The Position

Post Consumer Brands is hiring a Production Operator at its Troy, Alabama plant, which produces peanut butter. The role operates high-speed automated packaging equipment to fill, cap, label, and prepare products for shipment. Operators help keep production lines running safely and accurately while protecting product quality, food safety, and package appearance.

This hands-on role involves learning equipment, completing changeovers, responding to routine operating issues, and working on-site in an eight-hour second- or third-shift schedule. Overtime, weekends, and holidays may be required as business needs demand. Travel is up to 10%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Ability to follow product specifications, safety practices, quality requirements, and food safety procedures.
• Ability to complete accurate production records, machine logs, and work order requests.

Nice To Haves

• Previous manufacturing or packaging experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using tools or completing minor equipment repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment according to product specifications and make adjustments as needed.
• Verify correct packaging materials and date codes before and during production.
• Monitor fillers, cappers, labelers, case sealers, packaging quality, and case printing.
• Complete production and machine documentation accurately, including downtime logs and work order requests.
• Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, equipment changeovers, and deep cleaning after product changes.
• Identify and report mechanical and nonmechanical issues to the shift supervisor or lead.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow health, safety, fire prevention, quality, and food safety requirements.
• Support established programs and ongoing improvement of SQF systems to help produce safe, quality food.
• Complete other assigned duties that support safe and efficient plant operations.
