About The Position

The Table Games Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of table games during their assigned shift. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all table games, including house rules, counting methods, and procedures. The supervisor ensures that coin and check racks are consistently filled, and handles guest disputes, escalating complex issues to higher management. A key aspect of the role involves guest development through interaction, modeling positive engagement, and making comp decisions. The supervisor must remain vigilant for any unusual or questionable activities by employees or guests, reporting such situations to their superior. They also mediate problems between employees and guests and are involved in personnel management, including recommendations for hiring, promotions, demotions, terminations, and wage adjustments. Additionally, the supervisor provides guidance and coaching to assigned personnel, conducts performance reviews, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws. Adherence to the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy, participation in meetings and pre-shift sessions, and the ability to work collaboratively are also essential. The role demands strong communication skills in English, the ability to respond to visual and aural cues, and maintaining a professional appearance. Punctuality, adherence to attendance guidelines, and compliance with all regulatory policies are mandatory. The position requires flexibility to work varied schedules, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Other duties as assigned will also be part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the operations of table games on an assigned shift.
  • Displays a working knowledge of all table games, house rules, counting methods and procedures covering each.
  • Assures that all coin and check racks are always filled.
  • Settles disputes that arise from guests in the Table Games area, referring to those that are very difficult to the Casino Operations Assistant Manager, Casino Operations Manager, or the Director of Casino Operations.
  • Assures guest development by 1) interacting with guests, 2) modeling interactive skills with guests and fellow employees and 3) making Comp decisions.
  • Remains alert to any unusual or questionable activities being displayed by any Table Games employee or gaming guest and reports any situations to assigned superior.
  • Observes problems or differences between Table Games employees and gaming guests and aids if necessary.
  • Recommends change in department including hiring, promotion, demotion and termination; recommends wage and salary changes for personnel within established limits.
  • Counsels, guides, coaches assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties.
  • Prepares and coordinates the periodical performance review of assigned personnel.
