About The Position

The Systems Support Specialist provides advanced technical support and administration for the College's enterprise infrastructure, including on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments. This position is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, security, monitoring, automation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise servers, Microsoft 365 services, Azure cloud resources, identity management, virtualization platforms, storage, databases, and business-critical applications; works collaboratively with Information Technology staff, vendors, and campus departments to ensure highly available, secure, and reliable technology services while supporting the College's strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an institution that holds accreditation recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and approved by the College with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and four years of professional experience administering enterprise IT environments, including Microsoft enterprise infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Azure cloud services, virtualization, storage, networking, scripting, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
  • Five years of progressively responsible enterprise systems administration experience may substitute for the required bachelor’s degree.
  • A successful criminal background check is required.
  • Must meet the requirements of § 435.04(2), Florida Statutes, related to background investigations.
  • Must disclose any adverse information contained in the background investigation at the time of submitting the employment application.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Azure Virtual Desktop, and automation using PowerShell and KQL.
  • Experience administering Hyper-V, SQL Server, IIS, SAN storage, enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments.
