The Systems Engineering & Solution Sales team at Nutanix is a dynamic group of over 800 customer-focused technical sales professionals located remotely, with a presence spanning various regions, including Detroit. You will report to the Manager of Systems Engineering, who embodies a collaborative leadership style that encourages open communication, fosters professional growth, and values team input in decision-making processes. The work setup for this role is remote, allowing for flexibility in your day-to-day activities; there are no specific onsite requirements, though occasional meetings or team gatherings may occur as needed. This role requires approximately 30% travel to engage with customers, attending meetings, and participating in events that are essential for building relationships and driving business success. The ability to travel will enhance your connection with clients and further solidify Nutanix's presence in the market.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles, including 3+ years as a Presales Engineer.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on technical aptitude and adaptability to market demands.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems and articulating solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with detailed action plans.
  • Subject matter expertise in data center and cloud technologies, including storage and virtualization.
  • Commitment to personal and professional ethics, with a desire for continuous learning.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and articulate the value of Nutanix solutions to customers through presentations and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with sales team to develop strategic account plans and customer engagement models.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the sales process.
  • Manage and resolve customer concerns, serve as a liaison for technical issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor new hires and fellow colleagues, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Conduct technical evaluations and proof of concepts (POCs) to facilitate customer decision-making.
  • Establish long-term relationships with customers, positioning yourself as a valued resource and subject matter expert.
  • Provide feedback to internal teams based on customer insights to enhance Nutanix's offerings and strategies.
