About The Position

This position involves the installation of conduits and wiring of devices and controllers for Building Automation Systems. The installer must be capable of reading and interpreting MEP plans & specifications, and capable of reading and interpreting BAS Submittal Drawings. Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and qualify to operate a company vehicle. This role requires strong computer skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member. The position also requires the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, prioritizing based on departmental functions.

Requirements

  • GED or high school diploma with at least three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify to operate a company vehicle.
  • Must possess documented experience/training on various systems and controls.
  • Ability to work overtime, varied shift hours and occasional travel as needed.
  • Effectively able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Strong computer skills are necessary for Level 3.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with customers, contractors, supervisors, and fellow team members.
  • Work independently and as a team member.
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs., bend, climb, kneel, twist, stand and climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and projects and prioritize based on departmental functions

Nice To Haves

  • Possesses or is willing to obtain OSHA Safety Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively work in a safe and efficient manner in the context of performing the functions of your position.

  • Interact professionally with customers and contractors as required.
  • Coordinate and communicate with project managers and team leads to meet the needs of all project requirements.
  • Assist teammates as needed.
  • Installation of control wiring, control components, EMT conduit, reading and understanding electrical diagrams, working from ladders.
  • Reading MEP plans and other Construction documents.
  • Provide status reports of work related to any project involvement.
  • Troubleshooting abilities.
  • Possesses or is willing to obtain OSHA Safety Certificate.
