The Systems Engineering Integrated Systems center leads all aspects of systems engineering to drive the development of complex solutions that support the Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) mission area. The team fosters a world-class group of systems thinkers who collaborate to architect technical solutions for some of the world’s most challenging problems.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
- Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
- Experience with one or more of the following: requirements development, the ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues, or working in a team setting to achieve technical deliverables
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- DoD Clearance: Secret
- Active and existing security clearance required on day 1
Nice To Haves
- One or more of the following: knowledge of radar systems (such as the Patriot system), experience with requirements development, proven ability to develop technical solutions to complex issues, or familiarity with MATLAB, DOORS, and MS Office
- Prior RTX internship, co-op, or work experience.
Responsibilities
- Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
- Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
- Algorithm optimization, research and development; trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system
- Functional analysis of real world and test data
- Multi-disciplinary development efforts across the kill-chain for an Air and Missile Defense System
- Collaboration with customer to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
