About The Position

Cyber B.A.T. is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and lifecycle management of complex hardware and software systems for Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) programs. This role will contribute to systems engineering activities across the full system lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture, integration, verification, risk management, and technical documentation to deliver secure, reliable, and mission-focused solutions.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with a current Maryland Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 14 years of systems engineering experience supporting programs of similar scope, complexity, and mission requirements
  • Five (5) additional years of directly related Systems Engineering experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing and managing system and derived requirements throughout the system development lifecycle
  • Experience supporting systems engineering activities from requirements analysis through integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment
  • Experience developing system architectures using DoDAF, SOA, or comparable enterprise architecture frameworks
  • Experience producing and maintaining systems engineering documentation, including System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Initial Capability Documents (ICDs)
  • Experience supporting Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), design reviews, and technical reviews
  • Experience with requirements decomposition, functional allocation, interface management, and requirements traceability
  • Experience developing verification and validation strategies, test planning, and system integration activities
  • Experience supporting Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documentation and DoD acquisition processes
  • Experience supporting Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities and Information Assurance (IA) requirements
  • Knowledge of configuration management, risk management, and systems engineering lifecycle methodologies
  • Strong analytical, technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, and manage system and derived requirements to ensure solutions align with mission objectives and established system architectures
  • Support the design, development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of complex hardware and software systems
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation, including: System Engineering Plans (SEPs), Initial Capability Documents (ICDs), Requirements Specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS)
  • Assist with functional analysis, requirements allocation, and decomposition across hardware, software, facilities, and personnel components
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to evaluate operational needs and develop innovative technical solutions
  • Develop system architectures using Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and other applicable architectural standards
  • Generate alternative system concepts, physical architectures, and engineering design solutions
  • Develop verification and validation plans, evaluation criteria, and traceability to ensure system requirements are met
  • Support interface definition, interface management, and configuration control activities throughout the system lifecycle
  • Coordinate action items resulting from Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews
  • Assist with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), and systems engineering planning activities
  • Develop Information Assurance (IA) requirements supporting confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, access control, accountability, cryptography, and key management
  • Perform end-to-end systems engineering analysis, including operational concepts, mission threads, and functional flow analysis
  • Conduct quantitative analyses of system performance, including reliability, maintainability, survivability, vulnerability, and lifecycle supportability
  • Support system integration activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure complete interface coverage
  • Assess technical risks, support risk mitigation planning, and monitor program risks throughout the system development lifecycle
  • Support DoD Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities and Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documentation
  • Develop and maintain technical baselines, configuration management documentation, and requirements traceability
  • Produce and review technical documentation to ensure engineering products are accurate, complete, and compliant with customer and program requirements
