About The Position

RiVidium Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer (Journeyman) to support DoD programs by designing, maintaining, and improving complex systems. The role assesses system performance, identifies problems, develops solutions, and collaborates with stakeholders to support system efficiency and effectiveness.

The position is based in Hanover, Maryland, and requires a Top Secret/SCI clearance. The annual salary range is $150,000–$160,000. The stated range is a general guideline; RiVidium Inc. considers the position’s scope and responsibilities, the candidate’s experience, education and skills, and current market conditions when determining base salary. Hiring near the top of the range is not typical, and compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
• At least five years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD programs.
• Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• Strong problem-solving, system design, collaboration, and quality-control skills.
• Ability to perform cost-benefit analyses and recommend system improvements.
• One academic year in a related post-secondary program may substitute for one year of experience.
• Two years of industry experience may substitute for one year of DoD experience, up to two years of credit.

Responsibilities

• Assess systems, identify issues, and provide effective solutions to technical problems.
• Design, upgrade, and maintain systems, while identifying potential improvements for future capabilities.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, management, and IT staff during system creation, implementation, and maintenance.
• Develop and implement control features to ensure systems meet organizational quality standards.
• Conduct quality-control procedures to ensure systems are efficient, reliable, and operational.
• Perform cost-benefit analyses to develop cost-efficient project solutions.
