About The Position

Sabre Systems is recruiting a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer for its Model-Based Systems Engineering Division to support the V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, Maryland. The program oversees the development, testing, evaluation, procurement, fielding, and support of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft. PMA-275 integrates joint service requirements and operational needs and provides total life-cycle support, including safety, reliability, and maintenance improvements such as drive-system monitoring and component-durability enhancements. The position is remote and involves approximately five trips per year, usually lasting three to four days each. An active DoD Secret clearance or higher is required; the posting also states Secret/TS eligibility and requires U.S. citizenship. The engineer applies model-based systems engineering practices and engineering principles to military weapons systems. The role includes building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models, conducting technical analyses, supporting system integration and configuration management, and preparing technical documentation. The engineer uses systems engineering analyses and model-based methodologies to inform technical decisions and evaluate performance, schedule, timing, and cost across the engineering lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Technical bachelor's degree (BS or BA).
  • At least two years of recent and relevant systems engineering experience with model-based engineering applications and technology.
  • Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.
  • Experience with systems engineering and model-based methodologies.
  • Familiarity with interface definition practices and verification fundamentals.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Able to work in a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Apply systems engineering experience to system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
  • Build and assess systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies to conduct technical assessments and make recommendations that inform technical decisions.
  • Use systems engineering analyses and results with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, and costs.
  • Apply MBSE across the digital thread to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits designed to meet employees' diverse needs.
  • A collaborative environment supporting continuous learning and professional growth.
