About The Position

Sabre Systems is recruiting a Journeyman MBSE Systems Engineer for its Model-Based Systems Engineering Division, supporting the V-22 Joint Program Office (PMA-275) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, Maryland. PMA-275 oversees the development, testing, evaluation, procurement, fielding, and support of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft, including integration of joint service requirements and operational needs and total life cycle support management. The position is local hybrid, with on-site work as required. It requires an active Secret security clearance and approximately five trips per year, usually lasting three to four days each. The engineer applies systems engineering and model-based engineering practices to military weapons systems. Work includes developing and assessing systems engineering and architecture models, conducting analyses that inform technical decisions, and using analysis results with other engineering models to assess and optimize performance, schedule, timing, and costs. The role supports requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities across the digital engineering lifecycle. It also involves engineering and technical documentation, system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, acquisition and resource management, and analysis or evaluation of software, components, and systems associated with military weapons systems and their support or management information systems.

Requirements

  • Technical bachelor's degree (BS or BA).
  • At least two years of recent and relevant systems engineering experience with model-based engineering applications and technology.
  • Experience with MBSE practices and systems engineering and model-based methodologies.
  • Experience using MBSE tools such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.
  • Familiarity with interface definition practices and verification fundamentals.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, review-driven environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience using modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Apply systems engineering experience to system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.
  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
  • Build and assess systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodologies, and conduct technical assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions.
  • Use systems engineering analyses with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, and costs.
  • Apply MBSE across requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities throughout the digital engineering lifecycle.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive, evolving benefits designed to meet employees' diverse needs.
