[ON-SITE] Systems Engineer | San Diego County Credit Union
About The Position
San Diego County Credit Union is hiring three Systems Engineers for permanent, fully onsite positions in San Diego, California. The role focuses on enterprise infrastructure modernization and strategic engineering projects across cloud, virtualization, storage, automation, and core infrastructure. Engineers will design, build, migrate, automate, and improve enterprise environments, contribute to infrastructure design and technology decisions, and partner with engineering and infrastructure leaders. A dedicated NOC team handles operational coverage; regular 24/7 support is not expected. The position is based in the Mira Mesa/Sorrento Valley area and requires onsite work five days per week. The pay range is $103,480–$139,880 per year, with hourly pay stated as $49.75–$67.25 and overtime potential subject to approval. Individual compensation depends on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other job-related factors.
Requirements
- Experience administering VMware in enterprise environments.
- Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Experience with Entra ID or identity management.
- Experience with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Experience with automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Ability to perform root-cause analysis and complex infrastructure troubleshooting.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Pure Storage or other enterprise storage solutions.
- AWS experience.
Responsibilities
- Work on enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives involving cloud, virtualization, storage, automation, and core infrastructure.
- Design, build, migrate, automate, and improve enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure design and technology decisions.
- Provide Tier III/Tier IV infrastructure support and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Partner with engineering and infrastructure leaders.
